Orlando Bay ist das Pseudonym eines in der Schweiz geborenen Künstlers mit welschschweizerischen, deutschen und österreichischen Wurzeln. Seit 2024 lebt und arbeitet er als Autor und Musiker im Elsass. Nach zehn Jahren Aufenthalt in der malerischen, aber vom berüchtigten Mistral heimgesuchten Drôme Provençale kehrte er zurück in seine Heimat. Er kreiert, arrangiert und produziert seine Lieder auf seinem neunzig Jahre alten Blüthner-Flügel und im digitalen Musikstudio. Während der letzten Jahre hat er sowohl eigene Texte als auch eine Vielzahl von Goethes romantischen Gedichten vertont.

Orlando Bay ist das Alter Ego seines Schöpfers, eine poetische Ausgeburt aus dem Reich der Fantasie, inexistent und existent zugleich. Orlando’s Kreationen sind innere Reisen. Musik ist der Ozean seiner Welt. Poesie die Luft, die er atmet. Bilder durchfluten seine Seele, bevor sie sich in der Nüchternheit des Alltags verlieren. Orlando ist eine ruhige Bucht. Orlando ist ein Land ohne Grenzen und Nationen. Orlando fand eine winzige goldene Feder, die ein Engel vor langer Zeit aus seinen Flügeln verloren hat. Zusammen mit seiner Seelengefährtin Vanessa Vox durchstreift er die Dimensionen von Zeit und Raum.

Orlando Bay is the Avatar of a German speaking artist, author and musician who lives and works in the idyllic Alsace.  He creates, arranges and produces his songs on his 90 year old Blüthner piano and in his digital recording studio. During the last years he has set some of his own texts and a large number of Goethe's romantic poems to music.

The fictional character Orlando Bay is the poetic dream of his creator, a birth of the night, inexistent and existent at the same time, arousing from the realm of fantasy, incorporeal and timeless. His journeys are inner journeys. Music is the ocean in his world. Poetry the air that he breathes. Images are flooding his soul until they get lost in the darkness of the sober day. Orlando is a calm bay. Orlando is a country without borders and nations. Orlando is a tiny golden feather that an angel lost from its wings a long time ago. Together with his soulmate Vanessa Vox he roams the dimensions of time and space.
